TRC Healing Journey

Homilies & other information about special collection on December 12

These materials are provided with a three-fold purpose.  Firstly, to lead us in a gentle but honest examination and education regarding the history of the relationship with Indigenous people in this country and in particular the effects of our Church's participation in the Residential school system. Secondly, each reflection is based on one of the five essential stages of reconciliation: examen, confession, repentance, reparation (making amends), and reconciliation. Thirdly, it is hoped the reflections will assist people in preparing for Pope Francis’ eventual apostolic journey to Canada.

These materials are one of the best ways to prepare for the TRC Healing Fund special collection on Dec. 12th.  To make a contribution, indicate on your envelope that you would like the funds directed to the TRC Healing Fund, or you may use the special TRC Healing Fund envelope that will be available in the pews starting November 27.  (Feel free to contribute before Dec. 12th.)
